More than 30 million Vietnamese can’t be wrong – handle-bar height gives you the best view of Vietnam!
There are several companies that do bike cycling tours of Vietnam, the fairly decent condition of Highway 1 and many parallel coastal and mountain roads make Vietnam an easy place to ride. You could also do it yourself, but for me, having a support vehicle to carry our heavier items and assist with hotel accommodation and bookings made it an easy option.I used intrepid travel, but there are plenty of other options.
Starting in the former imperial capital of Hue we rode up and over the Hai Van Pass and were then rewarded with stunning coastal views. After that we continued to cycle the roads less travelled all the way to the beautiful beaches and bay of Quy Nhon. We enjoyed a rest day (chance to go snorkeling, sightseeing and food tasting) in historic Hoi An town. Finally we reached our destination of Nha Trang, a beach side resort city.
Thanks for checking out my blog and sharing yours!

Thanks for checking out my blog…it led me back to yours! You’ve had some amazing travels! We used Adventure center for our overland trip from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh. I always wished we could have stayed longer as I’d have loved to see more of Vietnam. Til then, I’ll just ogle at your photos!
No problem, your blog is certainly extensive being an expat, like me, gives you a lot of time to travel and see the world. Yet, it is never enough! 😉 I’ll keep updating as I go and backdating some more of my older photos of Vietnam and Thailand as I get around to it!
Thanks for dropping by.
